Redmi has announced the launch of its K90 series flagship smartphones, including the K90 Pro Max and the K90 standard edition. The K90 Pro Max prioritizes acoustics as its key selling point, featuring artist Eason Chan as its "Acoustic Ambassador" and a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Bose. A 7W independent woofer is integrated directly into the back of the phone, complemented by dual speakers on the top and bottom, creating a 2.1-channel stereo system.

The K90 Pro Max's back cover echoes the Xiaomi Mi 17 Pro's design, available in black and white with standard glass, as well as a "Denim Edition" made of vegan leather for a denim-like look. The device weighs 218 grams and is 7.9mm thick. Redmi emphasizes that the additional woofer opening does not affect its IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
The K90 Pro Max uses the same 6.9-inch Real RGB OLED display panel as the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, with a resolution of 2608 x 1200. Redmi points out that this new technology features a complete RGB sub-pixel arrangement, which allows for independent self-illumination and effectively reduces pixel density loss. Its 420 PPI display density is comparable to that of a 2K resolution display panel, but with potentially lower power consumption than a 1.5K resolution panel.

In terms of core hardware, the Redmi K90 Pro Max is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Charging options include 100W wired fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 22.5W wireless reverse charging.

The K90 Standard Edition, launched simultaneously, targets the more affordable flagship market. It's powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, features a 6.59-inch Real RGB OLED display, ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, and is IP68-rated for water and dust resistance.
The K90 packs a 7100mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging. While it lacks a Bose woofer, it retains dual symmetrical speakers. The camera upgrades the previous generation's macro lens to a 2.5X telephoto lens for portraits within the three-lens setup.
In addition, Redmi also announced that the K90 series will follow past practice and launch a "Champion Edition" inspired by the Lamborghini Squadra Corse model.
