Samsung earlier announced the launch of an Android XR headset in collaboration with Google and QualcommGalaxy XRIn addition, it also revealed that it is collaborating with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker to create "smart glasses" products, which are also designed using the Android XR operating system.

The disclosure further confirms that Samsung will create this smart glasses product, and it is expected to compete with Meta's Ray-Ban series of smart glasses.
Jay Kim, Head of Customer Experience at Samsung, said: “We’re incredibly excited about the AI glasses we’re building with Google, and we’re also collaborating with two of the most forward-thinking eyewear brands, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, to launch new devices that can be integrated into everyday life.”
According to Samsung, its goal is to bring an AI experience that combines "styling, comfort and practicality" to users' daily lives through the Android XR ecosystem.
Samsung has also clearly segmented its partners. Gentle Monster will focus on its signature fashion-forward designs, targeting the high-end market, while Warby Parker products will target the mainstream market, expected to be more affordable.
