針對蘋果以安全為由限制Beeper Mini讓Andorid手機可存取iMessage訊息的情況，由美國參議員及眾議員合組團體要求美國司法部介入調查，藉此釐清蘋果是否涉及違反市場壟斷。
包含參議員Amy Klobuchar、Mike Lee，以及眾議員Jerry Nadler、Ken Buck合組團隊認為，蘋果限制Beeper Mini的行為涉及潛在市場壟斷情形，因此希望美國司法部介入調查。
而參議員Elizabeth Warren更質疑既然蘋果批評Android的簡訊系統不安全，為什麼還要限制可讓Android手機使用iMessage服務的第三方App，因此質疑蘋果背後還是為了確保自身利益。

在向司法部提出訴求中，合組團體強調互通、互連一直是通訊服務競爭與消費者選擇的關鍵，而如果業者在競爭初期就將額外選擇機會消除，意味消費者無法從競爭選擇獲益，因此希望司法部介入調查，釐清蘋果阻止Beeper Mini的作法是否違反市場壟斷。
不過，蘋果有可能主張其將於2024年加入支援RCS格式簡訊系統，意味將能讓iPhone也能傳遞與Android手機相同RCS簡訊，藉此說明其並未構成市場壟斷。
至於先前被蘋果以安全為由封鎖、可讓Android裝置收發iMessage訊息的第三方服務Beeper Mini，稍早已經宣布其服務再次「復活」，只要使用者改用Apple ID登入。
